Lincoln’s Logic on Slavery Applied to Abortion
sds:
“There are no morally relevant differences between white and black or between child-in-the-womb and child-outside-the-womb that would give a right to either to enslave or kill the other.”
I don’t feel like fully getting into this whole thing right now, but there is a lot of truth to the above statement. The left is ecstatic about Obama’s recent order to promote abortions around the world. I’m appalled and disgusted by it. Some call abortion a ‘choice’. A choice to what? To actively and purposely murder an innocent human life? I can’t reconcile that as a ‘choice’ in my head.
I understand that a woman has a right to do whatever she damn wants with her body. But this issue is not just about a woman choosing what to do with her body. This issue includes two human lives. Last I checked, life is an inalienable right.
And don’t give me the whole hodgepodge of when life starts. Life is but a sequence of events, each one needing to take place in order for the next one to take place. I still haven’t heard of a human being going from child to full blown adult while skipping adolescence. Haven’t heard about an infant skipping his/her childhood and going right into adolescence. Haven’t heard about a baby magically appearing in this world without first being a fetus; a fetus without first being an embryo; an embryo without first being fertilized.
I am aware that my logic is terribly simplistic, but show me a human being who needs not the prenatal steps of human development in order to exist and I’ll shut up.
Those on the left seem to always champion for the rights of everyone except the most vulnerable and innocent. They stand against capital punishment for murderers, they stand against “torture” for terrorists, they stand against animal abuse — but when it comes to a precious, defenseless human life, they seem to not care.
The truth is: your path to life starts the moment you’re conceived.
