Really?
Was Robert Rodriguez serious with Planet Terror? I mean, this is a parody, right? It is one bad cliché after the other. It’s fine, I can get over the clichés. It’s a zombie movie. They die and then come back to life to eat you. You’re bound to use some clichés but would using a coherent plot line hurt? After that, you have the terrible acting. We’re talking “got the script the night before and I really could care less for this gig because I really have nothing better to do” type acting. Fine, I’ll deal with the clichés and the bad acting. Fine! But come on, now you’re hitting me with overly dramatic, inappropriately placed music too?
Alright, alright, I’ll deal with it. It’s a zombie movie so it’s worth looking past all of it. But wait, now mediocre special effects and lame-looking zombies? DONE!
The real kicker is that this movie has a 77% in the Tomatometer. How?
Please, someone explain to me the genius of this movie. Maybe I’m just not with it enough to get it.
