Ron Paul on terrorists: ‘They’re reacting to our occupation’
Leave it to Ron Paul to find a blame-America angle to the Christmas Day attempted bombing. Call me naive but I would expect a United States congressman to, um, defend America. But, again, it’s Ron Paul. The man has been spewing this garbage for a long time. The jihadists are simply reacting to our “occupation” according to Mr. Paul. Hear that, America? It’s your fault that there’s an Al-Qaeda; it’s your fault that terrorists get motivated to murder; it’s your fault they get radicalized; it’s your fault they get organized; it’s your fault they exist.
I’m guessing it has nothing to do with their extremist interpretation of Islam and the fact that our very existence is an insult to their creed, regardless of what we do. It’s not terrorism that’s the problem; it’s us defending ourselves against terror that’s the problem? Who knew! Let’s just withdraw all of our troops right friggin’ now and let the poor terrorists live in peace. Hopefully, that will once and for all end Islamic terrorism as we know it. Never again will we see another terrorist attack, right? It’s not like the jihadists’ purpose is to dominate the world with their religion and kill any infidels. All the terrorists wanna do is live and let live, right? Brilliant, Mr. Paul, brilliant!
