CNN did an excellent special report on radical Muslims living right here in the US. Some of the statements made by the individuals interviewed in the video include:
- “I love Osama bin Laden… I love him more than I love myself.”
- “We’re commanded to terrorize the disbelievers and this is a religion like I said. The Koran says very clearly in the Arabic language, (speaks Arabic), this means ‘terrorize them.’ It’s a command from Allah.”
- “I would like to see Israel wiped off the map.”
- “We tell you Muslims to rise up… and that you see Obama for the enemy that he really is; that you see the United States for the enemy that it really is.”
- “Is Obama a murderer, a tyrant, a scumbag? Absolutely, he is. If they killed him, would I shed a tear? Absolutely I would not.
Don’t believe these outrageous statements were made by persons living in the United States? Watch the video.
Like I’ve said before, “Muslim” is no synonym for “terrorist” or “radical.” The number of peaceful Muslims who live in the United States and love this country far outweigh the radicals. However, this fringe element in the US Muslim population is getting increasingly vocal, and those hateful words are extending themselves beyond the realm of rhetoric, as evidenced by not one but two shootings on military personnel this year alone (Nidal Malik Hasan at Fort Hood and Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad at an Army recruiting station in Arkansas), and the numerous failed plots recently uncovered by authorities. There couldn’t be any more red flags pointing to an alarming growth in radical Islam in the US.
