Post-partisan president: Republicans do what they’re told, Democrats think for themselves
Never mind that currently there’s an all-out war in New York’s 23rd congressional district, where conservatives and Republicans have revolted against union backed, Working Families Party endorsed, Daily Kos endorsed, pro abortion, pro card check, pro stimulus Republican candidate Dede Scozzafava. Apparently, the fact that Scozzafava was endorsed by the RNC, the NRCC, and Newt Gingrich himself wasn’t enough for Republicans to just “do what they’re told.” The (R) next to her name has proven worthless.
But forget all of that. Didn’t Obama promise to be above this type of petty partisan stuff? Weren’t we promise a post-partisan administration? Close your eyes and listen to the words uttered in this video. The man doesn’t sound anything like a president. He sounds like a campaigner. And you can’t blame him. He’s good at it. So much so, in fact, that he prefers to keep himself in a perpetual state of campaigning (and drafting an enemies list) and avoid actually governing and being a president to all of us.
