Where you are right now doesn’t have to determine where you’ll end up. No one’s written your destiny for you. Here in America, you write your own destiny. You make your own future.

President Barack Obama to students

I wish they would’ve never included the whole “How can you help the President” business in the first place. There wouldn’t have been any controversy. I’m glad they took it out. The resulting speech is excellent, inspiring, and even gave me the chills at some parts, especially the quoted part above.

It’s a universally good message and all kids will benefit from hearing this speech.
